real BARN RAZING

On the way to Woodland (nearest town which is 30 miles away) saw smoke so went looking. About 1/4 mile later came to a large steel barn in full blaze. Stored hay bales had caused a spontaneous combustion fire which had probably started the day before. Volunteer firefighters were there, but nothing could be done except containment. As the steel beams and sheathing buckled, additional oxygen whipped the flames hotter.
