another TASTING

This wine and food tasting, called a Day in the Country, was held at Abele Farms, a fifth generation farm consisting of 1,000 acres of scenic rolling hills. www.abelfarms.com Sponsored by the Yolo County Land Trust as a fundraiser for the organization's land conservation mission, the event brought farmers, chefs, and winemakers together to promote the cause of preserving farmland in Yolo County. It was set up and organized by Full Belly Farm who also provided great flowers and unusual table decorations of colorful (and tasty) tomatoes. www.fullbellyfarm.com. The Yolo Land Trust has worked for 18 years to protect the resources that create the area's unique and valuable environment. For more on this legacy of preservation see www.yololandtrust.org .
