Helen Frederick passed away today, Oct. 6, 2008. She was born March 2,1916, in Amsterdam, N.Y., to Dorothy and Albert Andrews. She lived in Gloversville, N.Y., but wintered in Capay Valley since 1979, moving to the valley permanently in 1993.
She is survived by her only son, Tom Frederick and wife Pam; sister, Mary Sagatis, and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her friends in Yolo County spanned many generations. Her husband Jim preceded her in death.
Helen was a keen observer. Her insights and contributions to the family's affairs will be greatly missed.
Helen's favorite pastimes were traveling, sports car racing, cheering for the New England Patriots, and attending wine tasting events.
McNary's Chapel is handling arrangements. As she wished there will be no public service. Memorials may be sent to the Friends of the Esparto Regional Library, P.O. Box 787, Esparto, 95627.
