When the loging industry slowed, Mendocino started to decline. But the town underwent a cultural renaissance during the late 50's early 60's when it became a " artists " colony. Mendocino has attracted artists, art lovers, and free spirits ever since.




What more can I say !
I first came here in the 60's and now 40 yrs later, I'm still in awe of this place.
The town of Mendocino has been named a Natl. Historic District due to its Victorian architecture and artist colony status.
