BANDIT help !

Yesterday from my window I saw what I thought was a block of ice

in the road, when it moved I investigated. A racoon ! just sitting there, a obvious, hit & run victim. No blood or visible wounds, but when moving could only use its front legs dragging its hind legs. W/neighbor Ray, I was able to coax it onto a tarp, placing it in Ray's barn, we fed/obseved for a day, I called animal control - we were really attached, but was the best thing we could do
