Blackie, the Vineyard's resident rodent eradicator, got help from a special SWAT team today. Had a visit from Jeff & Victor, a teacher and a software engineer from Sacramento who've been coming to the Vineyard a couple of times a year for more than 20 years. They're old Army buddies who are into sharpshooting and have special-built Remington competition rifles using a .223 cartridge. They spent most of the day here "varmint hunting", and it was impressive to see them get ground squirrels at 200+ yards. They also sighted in a new composite rifle on a target at 100 yards.
