SUNFLOWERS

I guess most farmers rotate their crops, but this year it seems as thou all of northern Calif. are growing sunflowers, mile after mile of them, creating very pleasant scenery. Not sure why - maybe there's a shortage of sunflower oil or is it because they are so heat tolerant for the drought that we are in. Also have heard that they are very good for weed control for future crops - anyway I like it.
