BASE CAMP

Wildfires pose a serious threat to this area. The dark portions of these pictures are not shadows or plowed earth; the ground was blackened by wildfires that occurred near the Vineyard while I was back in Indy. One of the fires engulfed 1000 acres and, sadly, over 200 sheep were lost. For a personal account go to http://roughstock.blogspot.com and read the September 22 entry.
