BACK TO BASE CAMP

Made it back to beautiful Capay Valley. Grapes are doing great and will be ready for picking in the next 2 and a half - 3 and a half weeks.
















Progress on the wine cave site! 1000 yards of dirt has been removed; now need to remove another foot of soil from in front of the wall. That will provide the exact elevation for floor of the winery and wine caves. Then a 13 ft. wall will be built across the face of the hill which will serve as the front of the wine caves entrance and the back wall of the winery, which will be built in front.




Notice that the valley in front of the cave site has been filled in with the 1000 yards of dirt that was removed from the face. It's really changing the topography of the area.
