Best wishes to my good friend John Winter who will be going to Road America in Elkhart Lake, WISC. to race his vintage Porsche. The event is to honour the 40th anniversary of the Can-Am Series, something that I was planning to attend as a member of the Championship Team of 1977,78,79,80. DID SOME OTHER WORK TODAY.....
Installed a new garbage disposal for Helen, Tom's mother who lives on the property in a house Tom built for her. She is 90 years young, very sharp and witty. I enjoy chatting with her. Also have taken on pool maintenance which I am very glad to do. When I arrived the pool was empty for repair work. I pressure washed it and the stone decking, then Tom filled it using a 2 inch line from an irrigation pump. Took about 6 1/2 hours to pump 30,000 gallons. Since it's well water, there's some sediment and sand, so I vacuum it out in the late afternoon. (Can't help it if I fall in ). Had forgotten how nice it is to have a pool. Really great!
