Roswell NM Toured UFO museum www.iufomrc.com very cool. Walked thru the older part of town, much bigger then I had imagined. Out of Roswell toward Ruidoso (noisy river in Spanish) in mountains - elevation 10,000 ft. very pretty area. Home of Smokey the Bear stopped at Ruidoso tourist info center, when I entered men's room saw large full scale wood chain saw sculpture of Smokey standing in front of one of the urinals, quite funny. www.smokeybear.com After Ruidoso headed toward Almogordo, then to Las Cruces, was downhill all the way w/some spectacular scenery. Grade was 6 1/2 - 8% pretty hairy going. As approciated Las Cruces stopped White Sands Missle range lots of history here www.wsmr-history.org SPECTACULAR
